Robert Eugene Chambers, 59 of Waldorf, MD passed away at MedStar Southern Maryland Hospital on September 17, 2015. Robert was born on July 5, 1956 in Beckley, WV to Arlos Chambers and the late Shelby Morgan Chambers. Robert was also predeceased by his brother, Randall Dean Chambers.

In addition to his father, Robert is survived by his sons, Douglas Eugene Chambers and Daniel Lynn Chambers (Jennifer); and grandsons, Daniel Lynn Chambers, Jr. and Dylan Cole Chambers.

Robert first worked for Giant Foods as a night shift manager for 15 years. He then went on to work several different careers, all in the construction industry for 20+ years. Robert enjoyed watching and attending college and professional sports games, as well as all sports trivia. He was an avid sportsman and loved spending time at the family hunting cabin in West Virginia. Above all, Robert valued time spent with family and loved watching his grandsons play little league baseball.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM; with Prayers at 7:00 PM at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, 211 St. Mary's Ave., La Plata, MD. A private burial will be held in Beckley, WV. Arrangements provided by Arehart-Echols Funeral Home.
