Of Owings, MD on April 20, 2008 at Calvert Memorial Hospital. He was born August 7, 1932 in Buffalo, NY. He graduated from Tonawanda High School in 1950. He then attended Rochester Institute of Technology where he studied commerical photography. Graduating in 1952. From 1952 until 1954 he served in the Army and was stationed in Germany.

He then attended Drexel Institute of Technology in Philadelphia earning a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering. Ron was employed at David Taylor Research Center in Annapolis where he worked in the submarine machine silencing division retiring in 1988. He was later employed at Tracor Applied Sciences for eight years retiring again in 1996.

He was married to Mildred Louise Polley in 1973, she passed away in 1991. He was devoted to the numerous dogs, cats and two horses he and his wife rescued during their 18 years of marriage and he continued after her death.
