Rubye Lee Haines, age 93, of Waldorf, MD (formerly of Morningside, MD) died on August 25, 2015 at the Waldorf Genesis Center.

Rubye was a homemaker. She came to Washington, DC and worked for the FBI in 1942 where she met her husband who was in the U.S. Army. She loved crossword puzzles, bingo, and traveling with her husband. Most of all, she loved being with her family.

She is the daughter of the late James Thomas Parnell and the late Minie Fisher Parnell. She is also predeceased by her husband, Ronald L. Haines and one great-great grandchild, Ayriona. She is survived by her daughters, Susan Mothershead and her husband James and Brenda McManus. She is also survived by five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 from 6-8PM with Funeral Service at 7PM at Raymond Funeral Service Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646. Interment at a later date at the MD Veterans Cemetery in Cheltenham, MD. Memorials are requested to the Alzheimer's Association. Arrangements provided by Raymond Funeral Service.
