George Anthony Griffin, 77, of Charlotte Hall, MD passed away June 30, 2015 at his residence. Born September 4, 1937 in Richeyville, PA he was the son of William Griffin and Ann Marcella Morosky Griffin. Having made the Air Force his career, he served in Korea and Viet Nam. He retired in 1979 as a Senior Master Sergeant.

Predeceased by his parents and sister, Lenora Goff, George is survived by his wife, Jeanne F. Griffin; daughter and son-in-law Wendi and Daniel Irwin, Sr., daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Michael Ross and son and daughter-in-law Stan and Katie Griffin; sister and brother-in-law Ann and Douglas Stidham and sister and brother-in-law Rosemary and Donald McGrady; grandchildren, Daniel Irwin, Jr., Heather Irwin, Brittany Petrosik, Robert Petrosik, Trevor Irwin, Brandon Hoole, Tyler Irwin, Shea Griffin, Skylar Griffin and Bailey Griffin; great-grandchildren, Daniel Irwin, Colton Irwin and Noah Griffin Petrosik.

The family will receive friends for George's Life Celebration on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 from 5:00 – 8:00p.m., with a Prayer Service at 7:00p.m., at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at 11:00a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church, 3320 St. Peter's Drive, Waldorf, MD 20601.

Interment will take place at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements provided by Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home.
