Dennis Wayne McGurk, 65 of Mechanicsville, MD, died on Sunday, April 6, 2008.

Born October 22, 1942 in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, he was the son of the late William Joseph and Muriel Doris Masse McGurk.

Mr. McGurk graduated from Morris High School, Bronx, NY and from Ben Franklin University with a Bachelors in Accounting. He worked 35 years with Scuderi Partnership and most recently worked as a property manager for Property Management, Inc. in Clinton, MD. Dennis enjoyed doing handy man projects around the house, working crossword puzzles, fishing, and puttering with his train sets. He loved his walks with his cherished dog Peanut. He most loved spending time with family. His grandchildren were the light of his life and spending time with them was his greatest pastime.

Mr. McGurk is survived by his wife Helen E. Johnston McGurk, children; Kelly E. (Ken) Capps, Dennis W. (Kathy) McGurk and Mark W. (Holy) McGurk, sisters; Gail Jones and Karen Devlin, grandchildren; Patrick and Jason Capps, Sydney, Brett and Brady McGurk, Brieana Wood, Michael and Marilynn Capps, Danny Longoria and Shane and Summer Rickett. He was preceded in death by his brothers; William and Ronald McGurk.

Dennis's Life Celebration will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2008 from 6pm to8pm in the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD 20622, where Services will be conducted at 11AM , Friday, April 11, 2008 Interment private.
