On Saturday, May 23, 2015 Victor Earl Talbert, age 87, of Waldorf, MD departed this earthly life for his eternal reward with God. He was surrounded by his family and died in his own bed as he wished. He was born on May 27, 1927 at home in Bradbury Heights, MD. He is preceded in death by his parents Victor Paul Talbert and Dorothy Newlon Talbert; and his sister Mary Trowbridge.

Victor, or "Buddy" as he was known by family, was a veteran of the US Navy, and served in the Pacific during World War II. He was a decorated volunteer firefighter, Life Member, and Fire Chief of the Boulevard Heights Volunteer Fire Department in Prince George's County. He was a man of faith, an ordained Baptist Deacon, and a member of the Camp Springs Masonic Lodge # 227. He worked for almost 40 years as a supervisor with the Potomac Electric Power Company in Washington, D.C.

Victor is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Martha Jean Talbert; his children Vickie Tierney (Milton) of Waldorf and James C. Talbert (Joan) of Herndon, VA; his grandsons Sean M. Tierney, Daniel J. Talbert, and Brian P. Talbert. Victor is also survived by his siblings Shirley Sindelar and Raymond Talbert.
