John Sylvester Proctor, of Waldorf, Maryland departed this life on May 23, 2015 at the age of 64. He was preceded in death by his father John R. Proctor, mother Mary G. Proctor, brother James Proctor, sister Debbie Proctor, and a nephew "Lil" Jerome Proctor.

John is survived by his loving wife Margaret M. Proctor, daughter Crystal Proctor, sons Marco (Charonda) Proctor, and Malcolm (Kristie) Proctor. He also leaves to cherish a step-daughter Katrina Douglas, 4 Grandchildren, Asia Hall, Malik Faulk, D'Angelo Proctor, Mason Proctor, 4 sisters Carolyn (Gregory) Proctor, Rosemary (Jerome) Proctor, Phyllis (John) Dent, Victoria (Edward) Welch, 3 brothers Michael Proctor, Eric Proctor, Chris (Benita) Proctor, and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and countless friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 4590 St. Joseph's Way Pomfret, Maryland 20675 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial said 11:30 a.m. Interment will be on Friday, June 5, 2015 at 1:00 pm. at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery Cheltenham, Maryland.
