Joseph Michael "Joey" Midgett, age 36, of Mechanicsville, MD, died on May 10, 2015 at the University of MD Charles Regional Medical Center in La Plata, MD.

Joey was a steamfitter with W. E. Bowers in Beltsville, MD and a member of New Life Wesleyan Church in La Plata, MD. He graduated from Thomas Stone High School where he was a pitcher on the baseball team. He later was a T-Ball Coach in baseball and a bulldog breeder. He was known as a good dad, husband, son, and friend. He was also known as a go-getter.

He is the son of the late Barney "Dusty" Midgett and the living Brenda Campbell. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Michelle Midgett; his children, Dominic, Jacob, Cole, and Ryann; his sisters, Tami Payton, Michele Rice, Stephanie Midgett, and Ashley Midgett; his sister-in-law, Shannon Campbell; and father-in-law, Gregg Campbell.

Friends received on Friday, May 15, 2015 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM with Funeral Service at 7PM at the New Life Wesleyan Church, 9690 Shepherd's Creek Place, La Plata, MD 20646. Interment will be private. Funeral arrangements by Raymond Funeral Service in La Plata, MD.
