Robert "Bobby" Scott Slaughter, 43, of Mechanicsville, MD formerly of Lusby, MD passed away May 4, 2015. Born September 2, 1971 in Silver Spring, MD he was the son of James Slaughter and Violet Cates Maxfield.
Bobby worked as a plumber for Plumbers Local #5, Camp Springs MD. He grew up in Golden Beach, MD and while in school played football for Chopticon High School and Leonardtown High School. Bobby enjoyed all types of fishing, vegetable gardening and cars. He was a wonderful coach, helped so many children fulfill their dreams in playing football, that's what he was best at (SYB PANTHERS, LUSBY MD). He wanted to restore a 1989 Mustang with his son. The other love of his life was Ceasar, his dog. Predeceased by his father, James Slaughter and step-father, Kennie Maxfield, Bobby is survived by his mother, Violet Maxfield; wife, Tammy Slaughter; children, Patrick Scott Slaughter (fiancé, Kayla Bean), Jacob Austin Slaughter, Justin Michael Ford and Ashley Marie Slaughter (fiancé, Cito Alhambra); brother, James Slaughter, III; sisters, Bonnie Zamaitis and husband Eddie Zamaitis, Amanda Vasquez and Pam Eddy; mother-in-law and father-in-law Ronald and Catina Barbour; sister in-law Stella Barbour and brothers-in-law Sherif Kassem and David Barbour. The family will receive friends for Bobby's "Memorial Life Celebration" on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 from 5pm - 7pm followed by a Memorial Service at 7pm at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD 20622.
