Donald Allen Inks, age 81, of Port Tobacco, MD died on April 21, 2015 at the Calvert Memorial Hospital in Prince Frederick, MD.

Donald was a Retired Staff Sgt. with the United States Marine Corps. Following his Marine Corps time, he worked and retired in management at Giant Food Stores and finished his career as the Associate Pastor at Grace Lutheran Church in La Plata, MD where he did much volunteer work and was recognized with an award from the Rotary. He loved traveling and being with his wife.

He is the son of the late O. H. Inks and the late Lela Longanecker Inks. He is also predeceased by his wife, Mildred Delores Luehrs Inks. He is survived by his brother, Marvin Inks; his step-children, Francis D. Warner, Jr., Cheryl M. Wood and husband Dennis, Kathryn L. Prather, Karen E. Armiger and husband Rusty, Sharon D. Alfieri and husband John, and Peter H. Warner and wife Terry; and his grandchildren, Donny, Helen, Nic, Jenn, Denni, Katie, Stevie, Kelli, Jimmy, Jonathan, Justin, Daniel, Sara, Brittani, and Jeffrey. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.

Friends received on Thursday, April 30, 2015 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM with Funeral Service at 7PM at Raymond Funeral Service Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646. Interment on Friday, May 1, 2015 at 10:15AM at the MD Veterans Cemetery, 11301 Crain Highway, Cheltenham, MD 20623 with full Marine Corps Honors.
