Michael Stanley Jenkins, of Raleigh, NC, formerly of Cobb Island and Waldorf, MD died April 7, 2014 after a 6-year battle with cancer. Born February 23, 1939 in Washington, D.C.

Michael was a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Navy, retiring in 1977. Upon discharge from military service, he subsequently completed a second career with the Potomac Electric Power Company, Chalk Point Power Generation Station, retiring in 1996.

He was preceded in death by his son, Steven Graves; his parents Bertha and James Jenkins; and his brothers James, Jr., and Stephen. He is survived by his loving wife Darlene; his son and daughter-in-law Ronald and Yvette Graves; his granddaughter, Stephanie Graves; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends received on Thursday, April 16, 2015 from 5-8PM with Funeral Service at 7PM at the Raymond Funeral Service Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646. Interment on Friday, April 17, 2015 at 11AM at the MD Veterans Cemetery, 11301 Crain Highway, Cheltenham, MD 20623 with Navy Honors. Arrangements provided by Raymond Funeral Service.
