Charles "Jerome" Haynes, 75, of Mechanicsville, MD passed away April 12, 2015 at his residence. Born April 5, 1940 in Piscataway, Maryland, he was the son of Delbert Bryan Haynes and Ella Helen Blandford Haynes.
Jerome was a self-employed carpenter by trade. He served in the Air Force from 1957 to 1962. He was a member of Encounter Christian. Jerome enjoyed video filming, NASCAR, football and gardening. He volunteered at Charlotte Hall Veterans Home every Sunday for church. Jerome also donated to the Wounded Warriors and Children with Cancer. Predeceased by his parents; his brother, Paul Clifton Haynes, and his sister Jacqueline Huffman. Jerome is survived by his wife, Maxine Stella Haynes; sons, Charles Jerome Haynes, II and Kevin Scott Haynes; daughter, Helen Sue Lamb; brothers, James Delbert Haynes and Robert David Haynes; sister, Geraldine Beatrice Jenness; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends for Jerome's Life Celebration Viewing on Wednesday, April 15, 2015 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. Funeral Service will be on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Encounter Christian Center, 30080 Henry Lane, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622 with Dr. Wilson Morales, Senior Pastor officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 3221 Mattawoman Beantown Road, Waldorf, MD 201601.
