Pauline O. Singer, 62, of Lusby, died April 2, 2008, at her home, surrounded by family members.

Born April 15, 1945, in Lebanon, PA, Polly was the daughter of the late Augustine J. and Susan Hresko Ogurcak. She graduated from Lebanon Catholic High School in 1963.

Polly is survived by her husband of 41 years, Terry W. Singer of Lusby; sons Edward A. Singer (wife Elizabeth) of Richmond, VA, Thomas W. Singer of Millersville, MD, and daughter Sharon E. Singer of Denver, CO; grandchildren Angela and Eleanor Singer of Clarke, NJ, and Ryan and Ethan Singer of Richmond, VA.

She is also survived by three sisters and two brothers: Marie (Ogurcak) Shull, York, PA, Albert D. Ogurcak, Lebanon, PA, Michael J. Ogurcak, Annandale, VA, Susan (Ogurcak) Topper, Lebanon, PA, and Margaret (Ogurcak) Chapman, Jonestown, PA.

Polly loved cooking for her family, especially holiday meals for her immediate family and many relatives. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was an avid bingo player and loved to read.

Polly traveled with her husband to various parts of the country during his career with the U.S. Navy, including Pearl Harbor, HI, Charleston, SC, Virginia Beach, VA and Groton, CT. They moved to Calvert County in 1991.

The family will received friends and relatives at Rausch Funeral Home, Lusby, on Sunday, April 6, for a viewing from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The Rosary will be prayed at 3 p.m.

Father Richard Gardiner, pastor, Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church will celebrate a funeral Mass at St. John Vianney Catholic Church on Monday, April 7 at 11 a.m. Singer's are members of Our Lady Star of the Sea. Interment will immediately follow at St. John Vianney Parish Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Edward Singer, Thomas Singer, Albert Ogurcak, Michael Ogurcak, and brothers-in-law Franz Singer, Jon Singer, and Donald Singer.

Funeral arrangements were provided by Rausch Funeral Home, Lusby.
