Sophia S. Heath, 60, of Waldorf, MD, passed away on March 18, 2015 at her home after a long battle with cancer. Sophia was born CHOI Un-sook, January 15, 1955 in Chongju, South Korea.

She is survived by her husband, Carl L. Heath, daughters Sona N. Zimmerman and Carole A. Heath, grandsons Andon H. Zimmerman, Alton C. Zimmerman of Broomfield, Colorado, and Heath D. Posey of Pasadena, Maryland. She has seven brothers and sisters residing in South Korea and Japan.

Sophia and Carl met when Carl was stationed in South Korea as a member of the US Air Force Office of Special Investigations. They were married for 32 years during which time she accompanied Carl on various assignments in South Korea and the United States.

She was a naturalized US citizen and for several years operated an office cleaning business. She enjoyed golfing, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will be sorely missed.
