James Edward Wood, Sr., 64, of Prince Frederick, MD. passed away on March 28, 2008 in Prince Frederick, MD.

Beloved husband of Sylvia Bowen Wood, father of James Edward Wood, Jr. and his wife Rebecca. He is also survived by his grandchildren Timothy Edward and Emily Morgan Wood.

Born November 24, 1943 in Prince Frederick, MD to the late Edward Whitfield and Juanita Hardesty Wood. Jimmy liked hunting, trap shooting and farming. He retired from Calvert County Government where he worked as a project manager. After retirement he still worked, he was a consultant for county projects; he did some landscaping and still farmed. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He could make you laugh and was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

The family received friends at the Rausch Funeral Home on Tuesday April 1, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Funeral services were held on Wednesday April 2, 2008, 11 A.M. at Trinity United Methodist Church. Interment followed in Asbury Cemetery.
