Lloyd Frank Janssen, 96, of Waldorf, MD, died on February 27, 2015 at his residence with Hospice.

Colonel Lloyd F. Janssen joined his beloved and wonderful wife of over 65 years, loyal friend and great companion, Della, in eternal rest and peace. Colonel Janssen served with the Army Air Force in the China, Burma, and India Theater during World War II. He retired as civilian Chairman at the Army/Air Force Clemency and Parole Board, Office of the Secretary of the Army, in June 1973 and from the US Army Reserve in September 1978.

He is the son of the late George Frank Janssen and the late Mildred Catherine Lippert Janssen. He is also predeceased by his wife, Della Marie Lambert Janssen and sister, Mildred Bellister.

He is survived by his daughter, Mildred Kathleen Cooke and her husband William; his son, Randolph Janssen and his wife Irene; his grandchildren, Joel Janssen and his wife Tish, Tyler Janssen, Marilisa Janssen, and Catherine Gibson and her husband Michael; and his great-grandchildren, Daryan, Emily Rose, Lilly, Aubrey, Noah, and Luke.

Friends received on Saturday, March 7, 2015 from 9AM until time of Funeral Service at 10AM at the Raymond Funeral Service Chapel, 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, MD 20646. Interment will be private at the St. Peter's Catholic Church Cemetery. Memorials are asked to Hospice of Charles County, 2505 Davis Road, Waldorf, MD 20603 OR the Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department, Inc., 3245 Old Washington Road, Waldorf, MD 20602.
