Fred Reitz, 80, of La Plata MD, formerly of Baltimore, MD passed away peacefully at the Charles County Hospice House on February 28, 2015 after a long battle with COPD. He was surrounded by his wife and family members.

Fred moved to La Plata 30 years ago and worked in sales most of his life. He retired from Liberty Office Supply in Lexington Park in 2003. He enjoyed bowling and scuba diving in his early years. In retirement, he enjoyed gardening, travel and watching cooking shows on TV.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Pat; his daughter, Lori Bowles and her husband, Mickey; their son, Steven of Glen Burnie and eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Church, La Plata, MD and burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery at a later date.
