LeRoy Joseph Lehman, of Leonardtown, MD died on February 21, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 4, 1927 to Joseph and Charlotte Lehman in Brooklyn, NY.

He served in the United States Army during World War II and graduated from the University of Bridgeport in Bridgeport, Conn with a degree in Business Administration.

Mr. Lehman joined his family's business, Lehmans' Lighting in NYC in 1950, a firm that specialized in hand-made custom-crafted lighting fixtures for the decorating trade. He was a master craftsman who enjoyed dollhouse-building and stamp collecting. After moving to St. Mary's in 1991 he spent many years enjoying his membership in the Senior Vibes Choral Group.

He is survived by his wife, Sally Lehman, whom he married in 1950 and two children, Elizabeth Cooper (Dr. David Cooper) and a son, William Lehman. He is also survived by 3 grandsons, Neal Cooper (Nicole), Dr. Todd Cooper (Vanessa), and Kyle Lehman and a granddaughter, Viki Lehman Young (Andrew).

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 28, 2015 from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM in the Mattingly-Gardiner Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 1041 Rt. 3 North Building A, Gambrills, MD 21054. Arrangements provided by Mattingly-Gardiner Funeral Home.
