William "Tinney" Wade Pilkerton, 83, of Charlotte Hall, MD, died on March 26, 2008 at the Charlotte Hall Veterans Home.
Born December 18, 1924 in Rosalyn, VA, he was the son of the late Charles Wade and Margaret A. Keyes Pilkerton. Mr. Pilkerton served in the United States Navy during WWII and the Korean Conflict after being discharged from the Navy Mr. Pilkerton also served in the United States Coast Guard. He was a Patrolman with the DC Metropolitan Police Department and was also a Driver for the Railroad Express. He was a member of the American Legion Post #248 in Oxon Hill, MD. He had a talent for drawing, and especially loved pictures of horses and sketching portraits. In addition to his parents, Mr. Pilkerton was preceded in death by his brother, Charles P. Pilkerton, of Newport Richey, FL, formerly of California, MD and his sister Josephine "Babe" Clements. Mr. Pilkerton is survived by his nephew Charles W. Pilkerton, (Donna) of Meriden, CT and his niece Mary Lou Siebenkas of Lexington Park, MD and several great nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Friday, April 4, 2008 in the Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, 30195 Three Notch Rd., Charlotte Hall, MD 20622 from 10:00AM to 11:30AM .
