Doris Faye Healy, 70, of Leonardtown, MD died March 21, 2008 in Georgetown University Hospital, Washington, DC.

Born July 29, 1937 she was the daughter of the late Birtie Lee and Robert Francis Meador. Doris was employed by the ARC of Southern Maryland until the time of her death. She was a loving and supportive mother who had a good sense of humor and shared many laughs with many people. She loved to play scrabble, go dancing, and being with and helping people.

Doris is survived by her children, Walter Johnson (Cindy) of Panama City, FL, Emory Johnson (Debbie) of Bushwood, MD, Martha Lamb (Doug) of Mechanicsville, MD, Robert "Andy" Johnson (Flor) of Golden Beach, MD, Mary Gail Peterson (Rob) of California, MD, John Healy of White Plains, MD, Michael Healy of Mechanicsville, MD, a sister Hilda Weeks of Salem, VA, sixteen grandchildren, one step grandchild, two great grandchildren and her fiancée and loving companion of twenty four years John "Freddie" Spalding. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Mildred "Millie" Carter on March 19, 2008.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 27, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the Brinsfield Funeral Home Chapel, Leonardtown, MD. A funeral service will be conducted by Pastor John Smith, Jr. at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens, Leonardtown, MD.

Serving as pallbearers will be her sons Walter Johnson, Emory Johnson, Andy Johnson, Michael Healy, and her grandsons Jason Peterson and John Edward Johnson.
