Thomas Joseph DeCurtis of La Plata, Maryland, died on Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Langley Air Force Base Hospital in Virginia. He was 62 years old.

Born on May 16, 1953 in Bronx, New York, he was the son of the late Veronica Heatherington DeCurtis and the late Vincent DeCurtis. Mr. DeCurtis served in the U. S. Air Force before retiring after 20 years of service as a Tech Sergeant. After his retirement, he worked at Colonial Liquors in La Plata, MD and at Brandywine Liquors in Brandywine, MD. Mr. Curtis was also a professional bowler. He was a New York Yankees and Southern Maryland Blue Crabs fan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Sharon, Barbara, Helen and Linda.

He is survived by his wife Brenda D. DeCurtis; sons, Frederick T. DeCurtis and his wife Kristin, Lafinnis A. Williams and his wife Ashley, William C. DeCurtis, Steven N. Serrano and his wife Linda; sister Maureen Baretto; brothers Michael DeCurtis and Vincent DeCurtis Jr.; companion Evelyn D. Serrano; nine grandchildren; a godson Cordell Walker; also survived by other relatives and friends.

Visitation on Thursday, January 22, 2015 from 6PM to 8PM with Services at 7PM at the Raymond Funeral Service, P.A. 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646. Interment at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
