Joyce Regina Johnson was born, July 16, 1946 to Thomas S. Woodland and the late Margaret M. Woodland of Indian Head, Maryland. On Friday, January 9, 2015 at her home and surrounded by her loving family, Joyce transitioned to eternal life.

In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Eugene F. Johnson, Sr. Mother of Eugene "Tony" Johnson, Jr. (special friend Kendria), Angela Barnes (Lyn), Tracey Miller (Lennie, Sr.), and Mark E. Johnson (special friend Barbara). Grandmother of Tony and Antonio Johnson, James and Brandon Barnes, Derron Lott, Lennie Miller, Jr., Mark E. Johnson, Jr., Shiquita Barnes and Nicole Johnson; great grandmother of; Jaymee Barnes and Nehemiah Ewings-Lott. Also surviving are aunts and uncles, Agnes "Jean" Smith, Regina Woodland and Sydney "Bunk" Woodland (Gladys).
