Barbara Joyce Knott (age 77) of Prince Frederick MD, born February 13, 1937 in Washington DC to the late Joseph Clyde and Viola (Ransom) Love became Heaven's newest angel on December 22nd 2014, after a brave battle with a long illness. She was preceded in death by her brother Joseph Clyde Love Jr, her sister Janice D. Love Kosack, her second husband Oran E. Kincaid, and her third husband Walter J Knott.

She was a loving wife, mother and a homemaker beginning when she married Lewis M. Early. She always wanted the needs of her family to be taken care of before her own. Her biggest concerns were the needs of her seven children and their families: Charles S Early (wife Joy), Lewis M Early (wife Lisa), the late Paul R Early, Thomas B Early, Steven O Early, Mark A Early and Delores A Morgan (husband Doug), her grandchildren Charles Early Jr, Amanda Morgan Capitosti, Vanessa Morgan McCoy, Paul M Early, Jon M Early, Ashley Early Heckman and numerous great-grandchildren. She felt blessed by all of her other relatives and friends that touched her throughout her life and she cherished each one.

After the death of her third husband, she decided to take her life down a new path and began working at the Calvert County Office on Aging. Her compassionate nature won her the affection and respect of the staff, residences and senior customers for the many years she worked there. She never hesitated to help someone in need. Full of spunk, she had unfaltering strength that never ceased to amaze - even as her health declined.

As she begins her journey to heaven she will be greatly missed but certainly never forgotten. We will always have her love and the strong memories of time shared. The viewing will be held at 10:30 at Rausch Funeral Home, 4405 Broomes Island Road, Port Republic MD, with services to follow 11:30 AM. Private interment at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf MD. Contributions in her memory may be made to Calvert Hospice, 238 Merrimac Court, Prince Frederick MD 20678. Arrangements provided byRausch Funeral Home.
