Edna McLeod, 90, of Nanjemoy died March 18, 2008.
Mrs. McLeod was a homemaker and a member of Nanjemoy Baptist Church where she served on the Women on Missions group. She was also a member of the Germans from Russia Heritage Society. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, reading, traveling and Bible study. Born Jan.18, 1918, in Fredonia, N.D., she was the daughter of the late Daboldt Ketterling and the late Elizabeth Gall. She is survived by her husband, James W. McLeod; son, Malcolm E. and his wife, Donna McLeod of Fredericksburg, Va.; daughters, Janet G. and her husband, John Faherty of La Plata and Phyllis F. and her husband, Jady Handal of Welcome; brothers, Henry, Lawrence, Daboldt, Albert, Louie, Alvin and Palmer Ketterling; sisters, Ella Beglau, Deloris Anderson and Marceal Nannenga; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation was held March 20 at Raymond Funeral Service, La Plata and will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. March 21 at Nanjemoy Baptist Church, Nanjemoy. The Rev. Brian Corrick will officiate. Burial will take place at the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
