Billie Mae Porter, 87, of Waldorf died March 13, 2008, at Civista Medical Center, La Plata.
She was a homemaker and lived here since 2001, coming from Walnut Creek, Calif. Born April 29, 1920, in Birmingham, Ala., she was the daughter of the late, Frank Ray DeWiees and the late Martha DeRocco DeWiees. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dahle Todd Porter; brothers, Herman DeWiees and Frank DeWiees; and sister, France DeWiees. She is survived by her daughters, Katherine Greene of Waldorf and Pamela Raffaelli of California; grandchildren, Lisa Martin Pinto and Steven Sloat and sons-in-law, Ray Greene and Wayne Raffaelli. Visitation was held March 17 at Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, La Plata. Mass was celebrated March 18 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, La Plata. The Rev. Jaroslaw Gamrot officiated.
