Mary Ethel Barrows, 90, of Charlotte Hall, MD and formerly of Bryantown, MD and Selbyville, DE passed away on November 25, 2014 at Charlotte Hall Veterans Home. She was born on February 10, 1924 in Benedict, MD to the late Francis L. Stonestreet and the late Annie (Goldsmith) Stonestreet.

While raising her children, Mary helped her husband run the family business, Barrows Sunoco, in Hyattsville, MD. Later she went to work as a bookkeeper for the State of Maryland until she retired. Mary enjoyed the beach, line dancing and watching sports. Her favorite teams were the Washington Redskins and the Baltimore Orioles.

In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her son, Gary Alan Barrows; brother, Maurice Stonestreet; and sisters, Margaret Adams and Joan Jameson.

Mary is survived by her loving husband, Warren Irving Barrows of (71) years; children, Nancy Elizabeth Maisel (Stan), Jesse Stephen Barrows (Tanya), Warren Michael Barrows (Charlotte), Mark Alan Barrows (Debbie), Margaret Ann Kilner (Joseph), Gregory Dean Barrows (Maria), Kevin Patrick Barrows (Tina) and Donna Marie Crutchfield (Mark); 33 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Anna Stonestreet.

Family and friends will be received for Mary's Life Celebration on Sunday, November 30, 2014 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., with prayers beginning at 4:00 p.m. at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. A Mass will be held on Monday, December 1, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Bryantown, 13715 Notre Dame Place, Bryantown, MD 20617. Interment will follow at George Washington Cemetery, 9500 Riggs Road, Adelphi, MD 20783.
