Dorothy Lee Green passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family on Monday, November 24th, 2014 at her home in Mechanicsville, Maryland. "Dee Dee," was born on October 20, 1929 in Harrisonburg, Virginia to the late Charles Robert Edwards and Reda Mae Gordon. She was also preceded in death by her step father William Gordon.

"Dottie Lee" was married to the late Edward "Pop" Marshall Green in 1946. Together, in over 60 years of marriage, they vacationed on the Outer Banks with their children and hosted Sunday Redskins football parties. She was a devoted housewife and enjoyed spending as much time as possible with family and friends. Dee loved playing cards and Bingo, collecting sea shells, and spending time on her porch feeding the wildlife.

She was the mother of four children: Linda Conard and her late husband Ken of Wilmington, North Carolina, Greg Green and wife Faye of Mechanicsville, Maryland, Donna Evans of Kitty Hawk, North Carolina and Robert Green and wife Linda of Clements, Maryland. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She also leaves behind her two beloved pets, Daisy the dog and Fancy the cat.

Family will receive friends for Dorothy's Visitation from 9 to 11 a.m. on Friday, November 28, 2014 at Brinsifield-Echols Funeral Home, 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A. Her pallbearers are her grandsons, Eddie Green, Michael Conard, Jeffrey Green, and the husbands of her granddaughters, Tom Rushton, Tony Bruffy, Robert Mann, Jeff Flick, Robert Long and Chris Valeski.

Dee Dee was greatly loved and will be greatly missed!
