Charles James Muse, Sr., 93, of Cobb Island, MD died on November 22, 2014 in Waldorf, MD. He was born on May 21, 1921 in Westmoreland County, VA to the late Clarence and Blanche Muse. He is also predeceased by his wife Gladys and 5 brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his sons: Charles James Muse, Jr. (Valerie), Stephen A. Muse (Farideh), and John C. Muse (Michelle). He is also survived by his grandchildren; Arman Muse, Sydney Muse, Mercedes Muse, and Jordan Muse.

Charles served in WW II in the U.S. Army. After his tour in the Army he married his wife Gladys and lived in Arlington, VA and Silver Spring, MD. He worked as a Supervisor Foreman for C and P Telephone Company. In 1998 he retired and he and his wife moved to Cobb Island where he loved to fish, was president of the Citizens Association and was the Grand Marshall of Cobb Island Day Parade. He also enjoyed painting, framing his pictures and his Koi Pound.

The family will receive friends on Monday November 24, 2014 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Arehart-Echols Funeral Home, La Plata, MD were funeral services will be held on Tuesday November 25, 2014 at 10:30 AM. Interment to follow at the Columbia Gardens Cemetery in Arlington, VA. Arrangements provided by Arehart-Echols Funeral Home.
