Christopher "Chris" George Hicks, 27, of Mechanicsville, MD and formerly of Hughesville, MD passed away on November 5, 2014. He was born on October 4, 1987 in La Plata, MD to Christopher Tracy Hicks and Helen Marie (Rawlings) Hicks.

Chris graduated from Thomas Stone High School in 2005. He loved hunting, fishing, boating and crabbing. He enjoyed hanging out with his buddies and his dog, Mudflap. Chris loved working on his truck and taking it mud bogging.

Chris was predeceased by his grandparents, George E. Rawlings and James E. Hicks; and his uncle, Eddie Hicks.

In addition to his parents, Christopher and Helen Hicks of Mechanicsville, MD, Chris is survived by his brother, Brandon Hicks; grandparents, Joy Farrell and Alma Rawlings; aunts and uncles, Deborah Thompson (Buddy), Jim Hicks, Mary Lou Lumpkins (Jack), Melinda Palamese (Mark), Jenny Kay Oliver (Doug), Mardy Koenig (Dave), Vicky Springer (John), Pam Graves (Wayne), Debbie Albright (Rick), Patty Bassford (Francis) and Eddie Rawlings (Patti). Chris was very close to his cousins and family and he touched the lives of everyone around him.

Family and friends will be received for Chris' Life Celebration on Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, P.A., 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. A Memorial Service will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
