Jaunita C. Burnette, "Mrs. B" 74, of La Plata, MD died on October 29, 2014 in La Plata, Md.

She was born on July 26, 1940 in Falls Mills, VA to the late Eugene B. and Beulah M. Spencer. She is also predeceased by her brother Benny Ray Spencer.

She is survived by her husband Virgil L. Burnette, sons Gary Lee Burnette, Dwayne E. Burnette (Wanda), Darryl G. Burnette (Vanessa), daughter Anita C. Williams (Richard R.J.), brother Perry E. Spencer, grandchildren Shawn, Darryn and Veronica Burnette, Alyssa, Sheridan, Delanie, and Mason Williams.

Jaunita worked for the Town of La Plata from December 1980 until retirement in July of 2008 as an accounts receivable clerk. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of La Plata and the Ladies Auxiliary of La Plata Volunteer Fire Department. Some of her most enjoyable times were traveling "Beach Time", QVC shopping, and scheduling the annual town parade.

The family will receive friends at the First Baptist Church of La Plata on Monday November 3, 2014 from 10 AM until service time at 12 Noon. Interment to follow at the Trinity Memorial Gardens.
