Glenda was born on November 5, 1972 in La Plata, Maryland to the late Bryant Hyman and Alberta Key. She transitioned to eternal life on October 22, 2014 in Bryans Road, Maryland.

Glenda completed her education in the public school system of Charles County and graduated from Lackey High School in 1991. During high school, she ran track. Glenda was joined in holy matrimony to Corey Gutrick on July 15, 2000. From that union two beautiful daughters were born, Courtney Renee and Cornesha R. Gutrick. She was very proud of her daughters.

Glenda was loving, out spoken and had a great sense of humor. She was a talker and always had a word of wisdom to share. Her greatest interests were her family and her family dog. Glenda enjoyed cookouts, vacations, football (she was a "die hard" Dallas Cowboy fan) and bingo. Her husband, Corey, was the most influential person in her life. She was proud of her occupation with the Federal Government as a Computer Technician and retired after 13 years of service. In her later years, she enjoyed daytime stories. Glenda would want to be remembered as feisty, kind spirited and "A Rock."

In addition to her father, she is also preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Young.

She is survived by her loving husband, Corey R. Gutrick, daughters, Courtney R. and Cornesha R., son-in-law, Ra'eegs C. Dobyns, mother, Alberta L. Key, sister, Shirley A. Hyman, brother, Elroy Hyman, mothers-in-law, Sandra Johnson and Helen Gutrick, father-in-law, Charles Gutrick, brothers-in-law, Carl and Chris Gutrick and LaShawn Johnson, aunts, Gladys Dyson, Alfreda Wilson, and Roberta Key, uncle, Eddie Wilson and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation 8:30am until time of service 10:30am at the Metropolitan United Methodist Church, 3385 Metropolitan Church Road, Indian Head, MD 20640. Interment St. Charles Cemetery, Glymont, MD. Arrangements entrusted to Thornton Funeral Home, P.A., Indian Head, MD.
