Carol Kay Allingham, 73, died October 13, 2014 at her home in Waldorf, MD. Mrs. Allingham was born in Kirkland, Iowa and moved to the Washington area in 1975. She was proud of her career as an Executive Legal Secretary.

She enjoyed taking care of her yard, flower gardens, and pond with humungous koi fish. She won the County's lawn beautification award numerous times. Her passions include fishing, camping, and early on she was a licensed private pilot.

Survivors include her husband, James L. Allingham of Waldorf; brother, Gary Johnson and sister Mary Beth Shaw (both of Arizona) four children, daughters, Christina Stovall (Michael) of Accokeek, Nora Dearing (Stan) of Rhoadesville, VA, Susan Rodgers (Archie) of N. Myrtle Beach, SC, Elizabeth Williamson (Jerry) of Mill River, NC and her son the late John Slarb, died in 1999.

Grandchildren, Mikey Stovall, Bobby Stovall, Robert Brooks, Sharon Brennan, Steven Springer, Amber Springer, Joey Springer, Shawna Slarb, Crystal Lucero, Kim Barncastle, Danielle Dearing, Sandy Dearing. Great-Grandchildren include Cyara, Jayden, Joshua, Kynzie, Izzy, Bryan, Kiera, Dylan, Jake, Alizay, and Niquey.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17, 2014 from 4-8PM at Huntt Funeral Home, 3035 Old Washington Road Waldorf, MD. A Mass and Christian Burial will take place on 10 AM Saturday, October 18, 2014 at St. Mary's Church of Piscataway, Clinton, MD. She will be laid to rest next to her beloved son, John.
