The vehicle did not stop and began traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes. It then left the roadway and drove through two residential front yards. The vehicle returned to the eastbound lane at which time Lt. Acquaviva forced it to the shoulder of Hawthorne Road with his cruiser in an attempt to prevent it from striking oncoming traffic. The driver subsequently stopped and was arrested and identified as Sabrina Rae Cutlip, 28, of La Plata. She was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while impaired, negligent driving, fleeing and eluding, hit and run and failure to drive on right side of roadway. Cutlip was being held at the Charles County Detention Center pending an appearance before the district court commissioner. Neither Lt. Acquaviva nor Cutlip were injured. Sgt. D. Bacon investigated. |
