Posted on Rescued were James McQuade, 68, from Bluffton, S.C., John Fountain, 58, from North Beach, Md., and Lynn Fountain, 67, also from North Beach. At about 5:40 p.m. a rescue crew from Coast Guard Station Annapolis, Md., deployed a 25-foot response boat after receiving a call over channel 16 reporting grey smoke coming from the Loan Wolf, a 40-foot cabin cruiser. At about 6:10 p.m., the rescue crew from Station Annapolis arrived on scene and took McQuade and the Fountains off of the vessel. An Anne Arundel County fire and rescue boat arrived on scene and was able to extinguish the fire that reportedly started in the engine compartment. There were no injuries reported. SeaTow took the Loan Wolf in tow to the Herrington Harbor South Marina. Return to Headline News
