Posted on The declaration followed a brief period in St. Mary's County that saw the machines popularized at several social establishments. Most similar machines throughout the county have either been removed or disabled prior to today's raid. Detectives from the St. Mary's County Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) Vice Narcotics Division, along with agents from the FBI Annapolis office, executed the raid. Many local citizens whisper privately that the move by the State is little more than an exercise to maintain their dominance in gambling profits.
