These four St. Mary's County men were arrested and charged with thefts of catalytic converters from parked cars.

LEONARDTOWN, Md. (Dec. 2, 2007) -- On Thursday, police made four arrests related to the theft of catalytic converters from vehicles parked at commuter lots and elsewhere in southern Maryland.

Based on a two month joint investigation conducted by Detectives from the St. Mary's County Bureau of Criminal Investigations (BCI) and the Southern Maryland Information Center Task Force, four search and seizure warrants were executed in Hollywood, Maryland.

Four suspects were taken into custody and charged by BCI detectives.

John Jeffrey Reeder, 38, of Mechanicsville, was charged with theft over $500.00, property destruction, and theft scheme.

Patrick Kevin Guy, 40, of Hollywood, Maryland, was charged with two counts of burglary 2nd degree, two counts of theft over $500.00, property destruction, and theft scheme.

Donald Robert Gray, 40, of Hollywood, Maryland, was charged with theft over $500.00, property destruction, and theft scheme.

James Thomas Jones, 34, of Hollywood Maryland, was charged with burglary 2nd degree, two counts of theft over $500.00, property destruction, and theft scheme.

All suspects were incarcerated at the St. Mary's County Detention Center after their arrest.
