On Dec. 19 at 8:25 p.m., a 14-year-old boy entered Escape Nail and Spa at 3039 Waldorf Market Place in Waldorf, brandished a handgun and demanded money from the clerk. As the clerk complied, an employee was able to call police. Officers arrived and apprehended the boy inside the store.
He was arrested and charged with armed robbery, first degree assault and theft less than $500. He is being held at the Cheltenham Youth Facility. Officers recovered the handgun and determined it was a BB gun. No one was injured. Officer E. Webster investigated.
