Hoyer Delivers Funds for Charles Co. Minority Business Center

$60,000 in Funds Secured by Hoyer in Federal Spending Bill

On Monday, January 10, Congressman Steny Hoyer will join the Charles County Ministers Alliance to announce the award of $60,000 for the Charles County Minority Business Center that Congressman Hoyer secured in the federal Omnibus Appropriations Act passed by the Congress late last year. This Center was created to foster the establishment and growth of minority-owned businesses in Charles County, offering essential tools and services to Minority Business Enterprises.

The Ministers Alliance of Charles County and Vicinity, a non-profit community services organization, acquired property to establish a Minority Business Center to assist minority and small businesses in establishing, managing and expanding their businesses. The funds secured by Congressman Hoyer will be used to renovate the recently acquired office space to provide the Minority Business Center with multiple-use offices and infrastructure equipped to accommodate state-of-the-art IT technology.
