Lexongton Park Man Charged With Assault


Dfc. W. Daniel Ray, Deputy Michael R.Worrey and Deputy Jason Maletto responded to a 911 call for a domestic dispute in the Parking Lot of a Lexington Park Apartment Complex. Once on the scene the it was determined that the female, Eileen Day-Jackson was assaulted by James Edward Nolan during the dispute. Victim Day-Jackson displayed physical signs of injuries. Sheriff's Office Deputies attempted to place Suspect James Nolan into custody and he resisted and assaulted the Officers. Deputies were able to get the Suspect under control and apprehend him. He was transported to St. Mary's Hospital where he was treated and released.

A warrant check on the Victim revealed two open warrants for her arrest. One warrant was through the District Court for bad check and the other was through the Circuit Court for failure to appear on the original charge of hindering/obstruction of justice. Suspect Nolan was charged with assault on Day-Jackson and Dfc. Ray as well as resisting arrest. Suspect Nolan was intoxicated and awaiting a hearing before the District Court Commissioner.
