CDS Violation

On December 29th, 2004 at 11:51 pm, Deputy Carter conducted a traffic stop on Md. Rt 2/4 at Plum Point Road, Huntingtown, Md. Based on observations made during the stop the vehicle operator was arrested for DUI. A search of the passenger revealed bag of suspected marijuana in his pants. Brian A. Eppard, 27 years old of Huntingtown, Md. was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing. He was charged with possession of CDS.

CDS Violation

On December 30th, 2004 at 6:00 pm, Cpl. Moschetto responded to the Family Meds Pharmacy located at 100 Hospital Dr., Prince Frederick, Md. for a reported prescription fraud. An employee pointed out the suspect who had obtained 200 oxycotin pills and 540 M.S. Contin pills over the last 14 days. Based on investigation, Carol A. Conley, 40 years old of Waldorf, Md. was placed under arrest and transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing. She was charged with possession of M.S. Contin, possession with intent to distribute M.S. Contin, obtaining M.S. Contin by fraud, and obtaining M.S. Contin by altering a prescription.

Theft

On December 31st, 2004 at 8:17 am, Dfc Tomlinson responded to Ralph's Dodge in Prince Frederick, Md. for a reported theft. Investigation revealed unknown suspect(s) removed parts from a Dodge Durango and fled the area with being detected. There are no suspects at this time.

CDS Violation

On December 31st, 2004 at 6:02 pm, Deputy Milam conducted a traffic stop on Md Rt 2/4 and Saw Mill Rd., Lusby, Md. Deputy Milam observed a non-conventional smoking device on the driver's side floor board. The driver was removed from the car and the non-conventional smoking device was recovered. It contained suspected cocaine residue. A search of the driver revealed a baggie containing suspected crack cocaine. Wade A. Ward, 23 years old of Lusby, Md. was placed under arrest and charged with possession of CDS and possession of CDS paraphernalia. He was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing.

Theft

On January 1st, 2005 Dfc Wilson responded to the 8300 block of Harrison Blvd., Chesapeake Beach, Md. for a reported theft. He spoke with the victim who had been out of town for several days. She said when she returned home she noticed several pieces of jewelry were missing from her bedroom. She advised her son had a party on December 31st, 2004. A list of party guests was provided and investigation continues.

Destruction of Property

On January 2nd, 2005 at 6:53 am, Dfc. Foote responded to the Arthur Storer Planetarium located at 600 Dares Beach Rd., Prince Frederick, Md. for a reported destruction of property. Investigation revealed unknown suspect(s) shattered several panes of glass in the enterance doors. There are no suspects at this time.

Theft

On January 3rd, 2005 at 8:00 am, Deputy Gatton responded to the 13000 block of Osprey Lane, Dowell, Md. for a reported theft. Investigation revealed unknown suspect(s) removed the victim's Kayak from her pier. The kayak is a green Keowee Kayak. There are no suspects at this time.

Disorderly Conduct

On January 3rd, 2005 at 8:39 pm, Deputy M. Jones responded to the Surry Inn located at 820 Solomons Island Rd. Huntingtown, Md. for a disorderly subject. Upon his arrival he made contact with the suspect. The suspect was advised to exit the bar but he refused. He was removed from the bar and placed under arrest for disorderly conduct and trespassing. He was transported to the Calvert County Detention Center for processing. Once at the Detention Center, he was recognized as Robert K. Thompson, 38 years old of Deale, Md. Based on this information he was also charged with giving a false name to a police office.
