Beta Sigma Phi (for the Best Friends of you Life) is an international women's friendship network. It also provides educational programs to its members and opportunities for service to others. We are women of all ages, interests, and educational and economic backgrounds, and are the largest organization of our kind in the world. We are known as "the Friendship Organization."

Beta Sigma Phi International is a nonacademic sorority with 200,000 members in chapters around the world. If you are women 18 or older, consider becoming a member of Beta Sigma Phi. We also get together as friends outside of our chapter events for fun and friendship. Our members live in Southern Prince George's County, Charles County and St. Mary's County. A member of the chapter will contact you as soon as possible. We are looking to add new faces to our local Southern Maryland Council Chapters. We hope to hear from you soon.

Our activities this year have included Service school supplies to the Children's Aid Society, Bingo at the Nursing Home, Donations to Angel's Watch Shelter, Huggable dolls to NIH patients, donations to the Humane Society &others. Socials dinner &a play, game night, holiday gathering &ornament exchange, Broadway musical, spa weekend, family pool party, Valentine Ball, super bowl party &more. Programs making crafts, drive to survive, you are in charge, cooking with herbs, learning paint strokes, knowing your blood pressure, packing to move &many more. Xi Beta Alpha’s chapter is a traditional chapter and we meet the months of September - May, we have two Meetings Monthly &one Social event a month. Visit us to learn more! There are some chapters in the Southern Maryland Council who are career chapters and they only meet once a month and sometime combine meetings and socials. They meet all year long.
