David Norris has been crafting songs all of his life, reflecting the heritage of his southern Maryland region through his music and art. Born and raised in the historic colonial port town of Chaptico, on the western shore of St. Mary's County, Maryland, his tunes have been recorded by such quality artists as: Blue Highway, The Seldom Scene, IIIrd Tyme Out, Larry Sparks, Valarie Smith & Liberty Pike, Jim Hurst, and Gary Ferguson and Sally Love. His song The Best Durn Ride, is the title cut of the new album by IIIrd Tyme Out on CMG Chateau Records. In 1996 his song Timberline won Nashville's Chris Austin Songwriting Contest at Merlefest, in Wilkesboro, N.C. He has performed Songwriter Showcases at the IBMA (International Bluegrass Musicians Assoc) in Louisville, Ky., Picker's Supply Songwriter's Night in Fredricksburg, Va., and also represented southern Maryland at the Maritime exhibit of the Smithsonian Folklife Festival 2004 in Washington, D.C. Bluegrass Unlimited has described him as "one of the most refreshing new writers in bluegrass music".

We are a montage of musicians performing distinctive original music, each part contributing to the musical character of the whole. Fractal Folk defies classification (such as rock, blues, or jazz), reaching across genre for their own musical niche, which may partly be described as random or chaotic phenomena such as crystal growth, fluid turbulence, and galaxy formation.
We are always willing to donate our time and talent to worthy causes!

In Gretchen Richie, the Jazz Cabaret tradition has found another exquisite voice. Her intuitive sense of phrasing always finds the emotional center of her material -- from the heartbreak of wistful ballads to the giddy joy of delightful swing numbers. The intensely personal timbre and heartfelt warmth of her voice moves a listener to hang on every note.

Justyn Sayne's musical style and background is derived from powerful rock alternative styles, combined with hard driving old-school multi-genre rock music styles, backed by harmony vocal arrangements. All of the group's material is written solely by the members themselves with inspiration based on real life experience. Justyn Sayne is an all originals Indie music group.
"Pure Indie rock originals, Justyn Sayne is like 4 well-oiled cogs in a musical machine that can dive from the heights of coruscating Indie Pop Punk-style electro malevolence into soporific, almost classical atmospherics at will, leaving deeply treaded tire tracks across your soul in the process." - NightShift Music Magazine

Miche Fambro

Miche Fambro's cool, percussive, flamenco/jazz sounds will set the pace for a great music event. Rolling Stone Magazine calls Miche a 'quiet storm.' His high-energy acoustic style combines the dexterity of a classical guitarist with the soul of a drummer. Miche brings humor, energy and passion to his original songs and stories for a truly memorable performance.
While there are a number of "guitar greats" to choose from and plenty of vocalists filling the stages, it is a rare performer who combines both. Miche brings his innovative guitar skills (enhanced by the drum kit seemingly embedded in his classical instrument) together with fluid, far-ranging vocals, to his captivating, original songs for a truly unique performance. Along with a recent move to Maryland, Miche has toured the U.S. and Canada during the past several years, finding enthusiastic audiences in both major cities and tiny towns. Miche brings a professional attitude, an engaging sense of humor, and a musical show that is often called "a breath of fresh air" to festivals, concert halls, house concerts, coffeehouses and colleges everywhere and anywhere.

Miche is an extraordinary guitarist/vocalist who has been drawing growing attention throughout the region. Audiences, reviewers and radio stations are discovering a musician with both talent and character. Miche is not only an exceptional performer but a fabulous entertainer as well. He thoroughly enjoys what he does and that enjoyment reaches out to audiences and draws them into the magic of the event.
Senior Editor, David Fricke, of Rolling Stone Magazine calls Miche a "quiet storm - a delicate blend of acoustic chamber folk, Brazilian tropicalismo, and metaphysical introspection...beautiful, earnest, soulful."
For people who recognize master musicianship, they are mesmerized by his unique, complex, energetic guitar technique. For those who are moved by rich, fluid vocals, Miche offers his original songs in a crooning style that effortlessly dances where he leads. And, for those who just want to be entertained, Miche stirs up an unusually broad mix of flavors -- solo/folk, jazz duets, big band standards, and memorable stories -- all for the sheer joy of the moment. His shows are exceedingly well crafted and professionally prepared while allowing the freedom for spontaneous musical moments as he responds to the audience. Each show is fresh and unique.
Mich was recently accepted for an official Performance Alley Showcase February 21-23, 2008 during the International Folk Alliance Conference in Memphis, Tennessee.
Miche is available to perform at concert events, festivals, arts centers, and music venues. For booking information, contact Janine Naus at (443) 624-1451.
