Mr. Wolfgang is a private practice lawyer and owns a title company.  He is also a decorated former Air Force pilot who has served his country all over the world, including Somalia and the Middle East.

I am honored that you have chosen to take a look at me as a candidate. You will find that I am honest, honorable, no-nonsense, and down to earth with "uncommon" common sense learned mostly from farmers like my grandfather. He owned the farm that I live on now in Riverside, and raised tobacco, cattle, corn, and popcorn. I am probably the only candidate who ever has baled hay, or planted tobacco!

I love Charles County for many reasons, but mostly for the people. That is why I have decided to run for Commissioner. Too many of our good neighbors are leaving because they cannot afford to stay. I hope to change that through cutting property taxes, and changing the emphasis on things from one of luxury to one of basics. Good schools, safe streets, and low taxes. We had those things for many years in Charles County, and, God willing, we can have them again into the future!

Please feel free to view my site and send me an e-mail or call me if you have questions or comments. But I ask you one favor. If you like me as a candidate, don't just vote for me. SUPPORT ME! I can't make any changes without your help. Call us, and we will find a way that you can help. If you prefer my opponent, that is fine, too. Please work for her. But don't sit on the sidelines. Democracy is not a spectator sport. BE A PATRIOT. WORK FOR DEMOCRACY!
I PLEDGE TO YOU:

1. I will not make decisions without fairly hearing from you.

2. I will make decisions in the open, not behind closed doors. In the event of personnel matters and legal matters, and acquisitions of property, the law allows some closed meetings. I pledge to work to minimize closed sessions, and to always attempt to have as much public input as practical.

3. I will treat all government assets as if they belong to you, because they do belong to you. I will not take advantage of them for personal gain, nor let others do so.

4. I will be mindful that you have placed me in a position of trust, and to govern myself accordingly. This means that I will study the issues, and vote not the way that I want to vote, not the way my financial contributors want me to vote, but the way that I think the majority of you would want me to vote, if you had the advantage of knowing all of the issues.

5. All elected officials will face conflicts of interest from time to time. I will inform you of any potential conflicts of interest that I may have. I will listen to your input about conflicts. If I find myself in a situation where a conflict is serious, then I will abstain from participation in the subject.

6. I will attempt to represent you in the best fashion that I know how. Generally, this means conducting myself in a calm, dispassionate, and respectful manner with everyone, even opponents and those who are less respectful of me.

7. I will vote on the merits of legislation and issues. This means no "horse trading" (I'll vote for yours if you vote for mine).

8. I will not make secret voting pacts with other Commissioners, or with anyone.

9. There is far too much focus on party politics and not enough focus on getting the job done. I will always treat people equally and based upon their merits, and without regard to their party affiliation. In return, I ask the people to judge me without regard to my party affiliation.

10. I will conduct myself honestly and with honor at all times.
