The Home Grown Farm Market is a producer only market aimed at providing fresh produce, flowers, plants, meats, cheeses and baked goods to the Southern Maryland community while promoting sustainable agriculture. Sustainable agriculture requires economic viability, eco-friendly production techniques that preserve water and soil resources, limited transportation of food and dependence on fossil fuels, and a strong connection between the producers and the consumers.
The market carries a large selection of veggies from all around the county, frozen meats from the Southern Maryland area, and Maryland ice cream and cheese. You can also find cheese from Clover Hill Dairy, and Amish dairy in Mechanicsville.

La Plata Farmers Market has been in continuous operation since 1978. Our market season runs from April through November. We are open Wednesdays and Saturdays, 9 am - 2 pm, rain or shine.
On Wednesdays, you'll find us in the parking lot just north of the intersection of Talbot Street and Washington Avenue. On Saturdays, we're in the main parking lot right behind the Charles County Courthouse.
