CCHC is proud to cohost FracTracker training to document impacts from Dominion. Health experts from the Maryland Environmental Health Network will show people how to use the FracTracker app and the Southwest PA Environmental Health Projects's national health registry to document ways Dominion is impacting people from the export terminal it's building at Cove Point.
The oil and gas industry—from its wells to pipelines to refineries—has a variety of ways of impacting the communities and environment that surround its infrastructure. We want to help you document it! The FracTracker app is a free tool for reporters, residents, researchers, and groups concerned about many aspects of the oil and gas industry and its effects.
Once documented, this information can be used by national health advocates and gas industry watchdogs to help affected people face fewer impacts from these facilities.
Calvert Citizens for a Healthy Community (CCHC) meets the 3rd Tuesday of each month.
CCHC is dedicated to protecting the health, safety and quality of life of Calvert County residents from the negative impacts caused by the construction and operations of Dominion Cove Point LNG, a methane gas liquefaction and export facility located in a densely populated residential area in Lusby, MD.www.facebook.com/events/294141567659223/www.facebook.com/CalvertCitizensforaHealthyCommunity/www.calvertcitizens.org/www.wearecovepoint.org/
