The Southern Maryland Mobile Compassion Center, will be at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Mechanicsville, 37707 New Market Turner Road, right next to the 84 Lumber, on November 5th from 10 AM - 2 PM. The Compassion Center provides food, clothing and spiritual care to people in need. Basic need items are provided free of charge to those seeking assistance. The Southern Maryland Weight Loss Surgery Support Group provides support for individuals thinking about or who have already had weight loss surgery (WLS). The group offers information about different types of WLS as well as provides advice about Bariatric Center of Excellence in the DC/MD/VA area. We give guidance on pre/post-op concerns; offering advice and support for you after surgery and for the long term. To be more involved and supportive, family members/friends are welcome.
