The American Cancer Society is holding a Planning Committee meeting for the 2010 Relay For Life, St. Mary's County. Relay For Life is a fun, all-night event to raise money to fight cancer, educate people about cancer, and raise awareness of survivor services in our community. We honor our cancer suvivors, their caregivers, and remember those who have lost their battle.

Meetings are open to the public and all ages are welcome to attend. Come join our committee and become part of a worldwide movement to END cancer!

This comprehensive pottery class for beginners will encompass all things ceramic! Begin by learning basic hand-building methods using slabs, coils, and pinch pots. Then move to the potter’s wheel where you will learn basic wheel throwing techniques. Apply finishing touches to your pieces by adding carvings, embellishments, and colorful glazes. Each student leaves with a broad assortment of pottery.
