On March 25, 1634, 140 English settlers landed on St. Clement's Island on the Ark and the Dove. Thus began the founding of Maryland. This picturesque and historical landmark, located in our midst, is accessible only by private boat or seasonal water taxi operated by the St. Clement’s Island Museum. But you can learn about the island and its historical significance at the Loffler Senior Activity Center when Christine Barbour comes here to tell us more about this Maryland gem!
