If you love to dance, this is the fitness class for you.
Zumba Gold-Toning is the Zumba party that you love at your own pace with a low intensity total body workout using light weights to shake up those muscles. The class will focus on muscle conditioning, balance, range of motion and coordination -all in a party atmosphere. While this is a lower intensity workout, it will leave you high in energy. No fitness or dance experience necessary.

Park Rock Fest 2018 is the place to be on Saturday, September 1st, at the Saint Mary's County Fairgrounds. Come celebrate the 16th annual Park Rock Fest produced by the Power Jam Music Alliance Inc. and sponsored by Maryland State Arts Council, St. Mary's County Arts Council and St. Marys County. There will be 20 artist performing on one of three concurrent music stages; for non-stop music! The fest features Pop, Punk, Emo, Screamo, Hard Rock, Alternative, Independent, Acoustic, Hardcore, and Metal.
The headliner for 2018 is the act Jake Bell, is a well-known actor and musician. He is most recognized for his role as Drake Parker on Drake and Josh and the voice of Peter Parker on the Ultimate Spiderman. The headliner on the metal, hard rock and hardcore stage is the band Fit for an Autopsy. Back for a fourth year is the third stage with acoustic acts featuring a special acoustic set by James Tomas Woodruff the voice of the punk band Hawthorn Heights.
The other acts on the metal stage are: Silent on Fifth St., Encasing Embrace, Alukah, In Dog Years, I’m Dead, The Seamstress, Black Rose. On the Punk stage other acts are: August Winters, Relic Hearts, Saintsin, Vivid Vertigo, Triple Backflip Committee and Dreaming Red. On the Acoustic/Solo Stage the acts are: Yellow Tie Guy, Prophessor, Car Crash Poetry, J’Lan, and Bob Schaller.
The Park Rock Fest also features commercial vendors and community group vendors and band merch tents. The gates open at 11:00 AM and close at 9 PM. All ages are welcome. Park Rock Fest is drug free, and an obscenity free event

Historic Sunset Supper Cruise

Climb aboard the historic Wm. B. Tennison for a 90-minute cruise through history. A museum educator, will share fascinating facts about Solomons, the WWII Amphibious Training Base, and Solomons’ rich tradition of boat building. While munching appetizers, see old steamboat wharves and hear about the important role they played in town life. View historic homes, landmarks, and other points of interest. Discover where heroic battles were fought, submarines sunk, lighthouses lit, Ghost Fleets docked, and watch the sunset over the horizon. Return to the museum for a short presentation and a light supper from No Thyme To Cook. Fee is $50 per person and reservations are required by the Wednesday prior to the cruise date. Participants are invited to bring their own libations.
