Chas. Co. Economic Development Annual Fall Meeting
The Charles County Department of Economic Development will host its annual Fall meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 1 at the Greater Waldorf Jaycees Community Center (3090 Crain Highway, Waldorf) from 8 a.m. to noon. The event theme this year is, "Shaping the Economic Future of Charles County." Discussion will focus on the recently completed, five-year economic development strategic plan and an inside look behind the curtain of economic development in the county.
Economic Development Director Darrell Brown and department senior staff will provide an overview of the five-year strategic plan and update the latest progress in plan implementation. This is an opportunity for the business community to hear in-depth panel discussions and engage with panelists about several key strategic plan recommendations.
Influential community leaders from the public and private sectors will take part in panel conversations focused on the future of entrepreneurship in Charles County, infrastructure and redevelopment, and an update on county investments. These panel discussions will encourage attendees to start thinking about how all members of the community can work together toward common goals. The Economic Development team will also provide updates on outreach efforts made in the last year and what to expect in the year ahead.
